Participant Information

BOXWOOD NEW ZEALAND 2012

Venues

We're still in the preliminary stages of planning, so this page will fill in the details in the coming months. Our 2012 Festival & Workshop is being organized in cooperation with the Waipu Museum, The Waipu Caledonian Society and the Chamber of Commerce. We'll be using Coronation Hall and the Waipu Museum as our main venues, as well as other spots around the village. There are lots of B & B's and backpackers hotels in town, however we're encouraging most folks to stay at the Waipu Hotel to keep things simple.

Arrival, Check-ins and Departure

Plan to arrive on Sunday September 30. 2012 in the mid-late afternoon to get settled, have a great supper, and an evening session. Check-in will take place at the Coronation Hall in the centre of Waipu. Classes take place Mon - Fri with departure on Saturday morning.

Getting Here

Waipu, NZ is in the Northland, about 120 kilometers north of Auckland. Fly into Auckland, and we'll be organizing ride-shares up to Waipu. If you're driving, let us know if you'll have space for others.

Lodging

There are lots of places to stay in Waipu. We're encouraging folks to stay at the Waipu Hotel, and will hopefully have a special deal with them sorted out soon for festival participants.

Meals

Meals will be prepared from fresh local ingredients. Good food is an essential component to the weekend.
