ScholarshipsBOXWOOD CANADA 2008Fred Kasper Memorial ScholarshipThanks to the generosity of our individual and corporate donors, Boxwood is pleased to continue the Fred Kasper Memorial Scholarship program and offer two tuition-free positions for this summer's festival & workshop in Nova Scotia. 2008 Scholarship AwardeesWe received many excellent submissions this year from a wide range of young players and we wish to thank all of the scholarship candidates for their submissions. We're pleased to announce the 2008 Fred Kasper Memorial Scholarship awardees: Megan Barker, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada Owen Meehan, Santa Cruz, CA, USA The 2009 Fred Kasper Memorial Scholarship will be open to all applicants who will be under 30 years of age as of July 1, 2009. Scholarships are open to players of all instruments, singers and dancers. We typically grant one scholarship to a young artist who is in primary or secondary school (age 18 or under), and second scholarship to a young adult (age 19-29). Interested applicants should submit the following: Submissions must be received on or before May 1, 2009. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 15, 2009. Submissions may be made electronically via Word document & MP3 file and sent to this address.
