Public Events Schedule
BOXWOOD CANADA 2012
Public events are presented by Boxwood in cooperation with the St. John's Arts Alliance & Zion Lutheran Church. Tickets and reservations for all events commence on July 1, 2012. Tickets may be purchased in three ways:
- at Fulton's Drug in Lunenburg
- on-line via PayPal on this page
- at the door for each event starting roughly 45 minutes before starting time
Concert tickets (July 22, 25 and 28) are $20 each suggested donation, $5 for students (door only).
Ceili dance tickets (July 27) are $15 suggested donation.

Tempest is Maritime Canada's premeire early music ensemble, led by the internationally acclaimed violinist David Greenberg. They'll present a concert that features their own distinct repertoire and style with the addition of renowned guest artists Rachel BROWN , Mathias MAUTE & Sophie LARIVIÈRE, and Barry PHILLIPS in a program that includes works by Quantz, and the Canadian premiere of Barry's EIGHT RAGAS, for tabla & baroque ensemble- with each movement based on a raga from each of the eight times of the day & night, chronologically, from pre-dawn to very late night.

BOXWOOD FINALE CONCERT

Boxwood's remarkable finale concert has become an eagerly anticipated annual event in Lunenburg. This year we feature performances by some of the most powerful and exciting traditional musicians on the scene today. Irish flute & Uillean piping by Emer MAYOCK of the Afro-Celt Soundsystem. A pure drop from Old-Time fiddler par-exellence Brad LEFTWICH. The duo of Chris Norman & David Greenberg will play a blazing duo set. A grand finale with all of our artists concludes the show.
